Eugene, Oregon.

After suffering the worst come back in school history, Stanford had a steep challenge awaiting them as they walked into Eugene, Oregon. Thoughs fears were quickly dismissed as it became evident that the Ducks were going to have a very hard time moving the ball against the Cardinals. "Stanford really swarmed to the ball today" Coach Kelly says. "I thought we had a good game plan going in but we seemed to get away from it very early". That game plan included getting Heisman contender, LaMichael James 20 plus touches but James only had 12 (10 rushes, 2 catches) for a total of 32 yards. "We felt if we could shut down the halfback then they would become one deminsional", Coach Kendrick says. We did that and I'm very proud of them after what happen last game.

Not to be out done, the offense had a record day through the air. "Oregon really did a good job shutting down the run which forced us to really focus on the passing game to move the chains" says QB Andrew Luck. Luck threw for 413 yards on only 16 completions. Luck continues his push for the Heisman as he improves to 14 TDs and only 3 ints.
