Boston College Completely Dominates Rival Maryland

Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts-- Boston College put its undefeated record on the line against the Maryland Terrapins. Boston College was looking to make a statement against the second place team in the Atlantic Division and put a nice cushion on the division lead. The Eagles definitely made a statement as they put together one of their strongest performance, top-to-bottom, in the Coach Petersen Era.

The BC offense got off to a little bit of a slow start as they struggled to establish their running game, but they still managed a 7-0 lead after one quarter thanks to an 11 yard TD run by Andre Williams. Boston College would add another score in the second quarter when Rettig found Colin Larmond for a 21 yard touchdown pass. Larmond has been Rettig's top target the last few games after getting off to a slow start to the season.

In the third quarter the Eagles started to put some distance between themselves and the Terps. Three third quarter touchdown passes by Chase Rettig put the game out of distance. Rettig hit Larmond two more times for TDs to give Larmond three on the day, a BC record for a game. The last TD came to TE Chris Pantale. Maryland would finally get on the board in the fourth quarter but it would be their only score of the game. BC would add a field goal and a touchdown run by backup HB Deuce Finch as the backups played most of the fourth quarter. Final: 45-7
