Matthew will be taking over a talented Cal Golden Bears squad. He will look to take home some Pac 10 hardware in his first season. But to do that he will have to go through user UCLA, USC, defending Pac 10 champ Oregon State, and plenty of other quality teams.

Thats another one i was puzzled about how did oregon state go ondefeated well until i beat them of course lol. Escpecially as they were the number 3 team in the nation. . .kinda weird.

I don't have any idea how they were so good. I guess the Pac 10 last year overall was a little bit weak though

I don't know what's up with the Pac-10 in the game, I'm USC in another dynasty and for some reason through the first 3 weeks of our current season I barely have interest from 5* prospects, I maybe have 5/10 on my board and on half of their lists I'm 5th choice or lower,even though I'm rank #1 in the country and have won the NC the first year and the Rose Bowl the 2nd year...guess the programmers of the game agree with half the ESPN analysts that the Pac-10 is overrated.

Well the whole state of California only has two 5* players (this season) so maybe that has something to do with it.

That is one thing I noticed in not only my online dynasties but also my personal offline ones as well...the 1st season has a good # of 5*, then the offseason the add a handful, then starting with the 2nd season the #s get cut in half both at the beginning of the season and the offseason additions. The only team I've played with that didn't have a problem with in-state recruiting after the 1st year was Texas, which is similar to real life...if I'm not mistaken, the state of Texas produces more 5* recruits than several regions of the country. I will say, for the most part, recruiting in this year's game is probably the best its been for the next-gen games.

Ya this season Texas has 6 five stars which doubles the whole west region so that is probably why it makes it harder to recruit out west. I agree I like recruiting in this game, but I still don't like how a guy comes out of nowhere to be the top recruit in the country. Guys move up and down all the time but from nonexistent to #1 is a little extreme.

Don't know but I will try to figure it out...the main thing I hate about this year's recruiting is the ATH. You have no clue what position he will play or if he'll be good in said position. On one of my dynasties last year I needed a FB, "I" ended up signing just 2 ATH for the position hoping they'd work, the CPU signed 2 2* FBs and they ended up being low 70s whereas the 2 ATH I signed, one ended up being a 50s FB and the other ended up being a low 80 CB, its so screwy!

Ya I don't like that either. It makes it really hare to recruit athletes because you have no idea where they will end up playing.

But other than the ATH there are only minor flaws here and there...hopefully NCAA 11 won't mess with the recruiting aspect too much. I think I saw one of the designers talking on one of the forums about fixing the ATH issue, but they always talk the talk, but very rarely walk the walk when it comes to putting something in the game.

Ya there is always a lot of talk but hopefully this year they will back some of their talk up
