Senior Day in Brunswick was filled with many emotions both on and off the field. SR MLB Manny Abreu was escorted by Head Coach Tim RYan because his parents were out of the counrty. Abreu said "Since my parents live in Central America and cannot be here with me, Coach RYan has been like a father to me, so who better to walk with me." The mix of emotions was felt throughout Rutgers stadium as 17 SR's would play their last home game here in Brunswick and it would not disappoint in any way. This one was by far a memoable game for The Scarlett Knight Nation.

The game started with a trio of FG in the 1rst quarter and Rutgers up 6-3. Both defenses were stout in the Redzone and would not yield a TD iuntil mid 2nd quarter when FSu would plunge in from 1 yrd out to take a 10-6 lead. Rutgers would add a third FG as time expires to pull within 1 at 10-9. The frustration on Ryan's face could be seen as he led his team into the locker room and heard more in his voice when he said "We have to find a way to put the ball in the endzone. We are moving it well between the 20's but then FSU's defense tightens and we have to settle for 3. Not going to get it done that way."

Ryan must have said the right things at halftime, because the Knights came out on fire. Savage would hit Pratt for a 46 yrd bomb to the FSU 4 yrd and two plays later SR Robinson would walk in to score for the only SR that day. Rutgers would miss the 2pt conversion and be up 15-10. Savage would then find Sanu in the endzone after the first of 4 INT for FSU to put the Knights up 22-10. The following possion SO SS Duron Harmon would step in front of an FSU pass and return it 50 yards for a TD to put Rutgers up 29-10. After only scoring 9 points in the entire first half, Rutgers would more then double that in the 3rd with 20.

FSU would wake up though in the 4th with a 60 streak to pull with in 13 after a missed 2pt conversion themselves at 29-16. Rutgers would then drive the length of the field and Savage would walk in form 5 yrds out to put Rutgers up 36-16 with 4 mins to play. Rutgers would pic off FSU again but two plays later would fumble and FSU would rumble 84 yards to make it 36-23 with 3 mins to go. Rutgers would add another FG and 4th pic to seal the victory for the Knights with a 39-23 final score. This makes 9 straight for the Knights. Their last and only loss came to #2 Georgia in the season opener. The Knights now take to the road to finish the seaon first at Louisville and then the big trip to Madison to battle the Badgers. "We still have a long road ahead of us and we cannot lay off the gas now" said Ryan in a post game press conference.
