Oh MrNorthTexas, just check out all the rules and what not so you understand everything. Especially about recruiting, since you are joining in the offseason you will follow the same rules as those that are switching schools as far as you can't recruit five stars that aren't already interested in you.

Well I guess you can, but don't post anything too specific on Notre Dame since you might not be taking them over, but you can post on anything else if you want.

Here is my 2 cents about Notre Dame. Even if they drop to 4 stars with their prestige you can easily have them back to a 5 star or 6 star team with an 8-4 year. The rest of us have to go 10-2 or 11-1 to even mive slightly up. Recruiting is much easier and favorable at ND so I think a team wanting to be ND is not level the way this Dynsty is setup.

I understand where you are coming from, Michblue, but I think the best way to keep things competitive for new users and users changing teams is to keep teams like Notre Dame, Michagan, Florida St., Miami, ect. that drop in prestige available. We as current users would have first choice anyway. Also, some of the users will have their teams up to six stars after this year. Finally, it would be cool if Notre Dame was nationally relevant again.

Michblue I can see where you are coming from 100%, but I'm pretty positive that all teams that are the same stars have the same goals for advancement so ND has no real advantage there. I do see sometimes in recruiting they get better players than the other teams that are the same stars, but it's not like anybody is really struggling to recruit there is some skill to it as well. Like cko said it adds good storylines to build up teams that were once great, but I'm for whatever everyone else thinks on this.

idk i kinda haved mixed emotions i guess you could say about this. Cuz like michlue said ND always has a recruiting advantage just like any other big named team would Florida, OSU, etc. They could all go 0-12 and still sign a top 10 recruiting lass. Look at UNC in bball this year they lost in the NIT championship to the dayton flyers and they still have the best recruiting class in college basketball. But depending on if they drop or not then ill be for it but again one season of 6-6 and they are off to the races for years to come.

I don't know. I don't think wins and losses really have an affect on how you recruit in the year. How many stars you are I think has a bigger affect, but then some of the teams we are now get good recruits as well. I mean myself, Georgia, and Wisconsin have all had a lot of good recruits that wanted to come play at our schools...

Just a guess, but from my experience, the more games you win in a row, the more momentum you build with recruits. Wow that was a bad sentence

All I am saying and this is true in real life as well, is that it is much easier to recruit and build a program like ND then any other school. The name sells iitself. They can go 6-6 and still go to a pretty damn good bowl. While me at Rutgers goes 9-3 and is headed for the Armed Forces Bowl. ND under a user will be 6 stars again in 2 yrs with medicore results. Trust me seen it happen in this game and real life.

People don't move up stars unless complete all of their coaches goals. Everybody that is the same stars has the same goals, so it doesn't matter if it's Notre Dame or Rutgers you have to do the same thing to move up stars. I'm just throwing all this out there, I don't have a preference either way. I am at the place I want to be. And also I would put Georgia in the group of elite programs that gets better recruits and we let cko take over them last year...

idk thats hard to understand king cuz in another od im syracuse and they were still 3* through 3 years and the next year i went 7-5 and moved up a star so i dont think its that hard to move up.

Its all depends on how you do compares towards your coaching goals. Go look at all the teams of the same stars and they all have the same goals. Of course if a goal has to do with a rival it will be their rival but all the goals are the same thing. And then if you complete your 3 goals you move up, and if you don't complete any you move down. I have seen some teams go up with 2 out of 3, but I think you have to have two out of three for consecutive years.

But it doesn't make a difference because I have talked to MrNorthTexas privately and have decided that nobody can be Notre Dame regardless for two reasons. One they can sometimes have a recruiting advantage and two because they are independent meaning they don't have to play for a conference title, which can be an advantage or disadvantage. So I am just saying you have to be a team in one of the BCS conferences to eliminate that option all together.
