Louisiana Lafayette came up with a stunning overtime victory at home against Kansas State in what ruined Coach Morgan's first game since becoming head coach this past Wednesday. ULL open up a passing onslaught on the K-State defense as QB Chris Masson passed for 436 yards and 2 td's. Marlin Miller caught 6 of Masson balls for 147 yards. Undrea Sails pulled in another 8 balls for 87 yards and a TD for ULL.

Kansas State was led by QB Grant Gregory who ended 32-53 for 356 and 3 td's and 1 int. Senior WR Brandon Banks caught 12 balls for 108 and a touchdown. Banks also returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score. Attrail Snipes added 101 yds and 2 td's. Kansas State's running game really never got rolling as there leading rusher in the game had just 12 yards on 5 carries. Granted they were playing from behind most of the game.

Adding to K-States woes was an outragous amount of holding penalties as they were called 6 times for holding, one of those being crucial in overtime when they were first and goal at the 8 yard line.

The play of the game would have to be the 86 yard fumble return at the end of the 3rd quarter by ULL's Tyrell Gaddies. It was all downhill from there for Wildcats as there defense hold ULL from scoring a TD in overtime.

Back to the drawing board for Coach Morgan.
