Mississippi State having dedicated this season to their late coach, who died in an unfortunate fishing expedition earlier this year, shocked the nation today as they upset #1 Alabama in double overtime 51-38!!

The Bulldogs got off to a slow start. They were down 14-0 before they started to play smart and put the ball in their heisman candidate's, vic ballard, hands. That included rushing the ball 29 times for 149 yards and 2 tds while also catching 9 balls for 103 yards and a td when spread out wide as a wr. He has single handedly taken the Bulldogs on his back during this tough stretch of their schedule. He has the national medias attention on a personal level but has gained their respect for his team as well!

Overtime was an intense few minutes...the second play of overtime their heisman hopeful, richardson, punched it from 1 yard out after driving it down to the one on the previous play. On the bulldogs first possession of overtime Vic Ballard once again found a way to get into the endzone on 3rd and really long, hauling in a 25 yard pass for a td! Their next possession, riding high on newfound confidence, drove the ball methodically down the field and punched it in from 3 yards out. The play of the game happened as the Crimson Tide took over... on 2nd and long, McCarron who was having a very good day, threw an interception that was needlessly taken back for a pick 6! But who can blame the kid for taking it to the house. He made the play of his career and season for this exciting Mississippi State squad as they look ahead to finishing the season strong. Who knows what will transpire in the last 2 weeks of the season! We will all be glued to our TVs to find out!
