Aggies Stunned At Home

College Station, Texas-Texas A&M came into the game with UAB 2-0 and playing good football but that all changed today. The Aggies put up their worst performance of the year today and it cost them. It was also the first game in which the special teams failed to perform having a missed field goal and failing to return a kick after returning three in the first two games. Although the offense put up big numbers they turned the ball over 5 times were 4-7 in the redzone and 4-11 on third down. The Aggies defense was once again bitten by the big play bug as they gave up touchdowns of 76 yds, 73 yds, and 63 yds. Without those plays the A&M defense played solid but it was far from enough. After the game Coach Bryant had this to say," Changes are going to be made. I don't know when or what right now but we will see some monumental changes. Right now there isn't a lot we can do but come offseason we will be a new team mark my words. We aren't going to release highlights this week because we don't deserve any highlights. I'm incredibly disappointed in this team and it's efforts today." The Aggies will look to rebound next week in a huge rivalry game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Wow, never expected this... Should be an interesting game next week between you and Texasfight. What style of play do you play King? Assuming you probably pass a lot if you turned it over 5 times. Also, what happened on the big plays? Broken tackles I'm assuming?

he uses a&m's pbook but hes pretty balanced with his offense and broken tackles always seem to be the case

Ya right now I'm using Texas A&M's playbook but normally I use gt's and will probably go back to it next season. It is what I'm best with but wanted to try something different, but right now I'm pretty balanced just had some poor reads and UAB kept going for a strip every time it was nuts.

As far as the big plays it was just my secondary guys missing tackles. On the first play of the game they run a screen and my corner misses the tackle then after 10 yards my saftey misses also. It was just one of those games ya know my secondary couldn't make a tackle to save their lives but oh well I'll bounce back in Big 12 play.

Yeah, hate when you've got a guy just in your sights and make a solid tackle but he hops out of it.

Ya it's just like ok I got him now it's second down oh wait there he goes running down the sideline with no one around him. It always seems to happen when it's an open field tackle

open field tackling is really tough i try to just slow down and run into the guy not even pressing square or i take better angles deeper don the field
