Nail Bitter in Athens

After getting down early by way of 2 INTs, after replacing Senior QB Riley with Freshman Bridgford, Cal battled back from a early 21 point deficit. In a game that had too many TOs to count, Georgia was on their way to clinch the game when Cal forced a fumble on the 14 yd line. After recovering the fumble Cal drove the field to take the lead with 1:05 left on the clock. Although it proved too much as Georgia drove within range to kick the game winning FG as time expired to win the game 44-42. It was a great game that proved to be an offensive shootout with only mild defense for both teams in the 2nd half. Cal held Georgia to only 3 FGs although that included the game winner.

Great game by Cko, hopefully this is just a set back for Cal on there way to the Pac 10 title...
