Georgia won its first two games behind outstanding individual efforts of AJ green and Washaun Ealey. However, Coach Oswalt simply wasn't happy with the flow of the offense and was concerned about the future when these two stars left. Therefore, he decided to steal former Miss St head coach Dan Kelley from the rival Gators.

Although the point production dropped from the first two games, Coach was happy with the efficiency of his offense that held the ball for 2/3 of the game and converted 9 of 12 first downs. The running game must still improve as the Bulldogs relied on short passes on short yardage situations.

I don't remember a whole lot about the details of the game as I just played another one, but Georgia got off to a 17-0 halftime lead behind a great defense that forced a couple of early turnovers. Clemson would come back 10 straight before the Bulldogs answered with 10 straight points of their own. After a 4th quarter td by Clemson, Georgia ran out the remaining 4:00 of the game in impressive style.

Btw, Im playing with Clemson in another od that is in year two. They have NO play makers outside of Harper.

Life after C.J. Spiller continues to be rough for the Tigers offense. Back to back turnovers on early possessions allowed Georgia to build a 17 – 0 lead that proved to be insurmountable.
After the tigers first drive ended with a sack at midfield forcing a punt, the UGA offense went to work driving deep into tiger territory. The tiger defense did hold up forcing a FG. Trailing 3 – 0, QB Kyle parker whose play is largely responsible for the tigers 0 - 3 record hit a wide open UGA linebacker in the flat for a score. Clemson’s coaches would greatly prefer that Parker pass to his own players on scoring plays. After an exchange of fumbles, UGA added another TD just before the half for a 17 – 0 lead.
The Bulldogs appeared to let up just a bit after halftime. Back to back interceptions lead to 10 Clemson points, giving the Tigers some life. However just when it appeared that Clemson may get the ball back with a chance to tie, UGA converted a 3rd and 12 on route to another TD and a 24 – 10 lead. A second Jamie Harper fumble would completely kill the momentum and set up a UGA field goal and a 27 – 10 lead going into the fourth quarter. Parker finally managed to hit an open receiver and that receiver managed to not drop the pass for a TD with 4 minutes left making the score 27 – 17, but a worn out tiger defense offered little resistance as the UGA ground attack finally proved effective to run out the clock.
Again the play of the offensive line and Parker were substandard as UGA sacked the tiger QB and forced third and long situations where the o-line simply could not provide enough pass protection for routes to develop. In addition, the defense had no answer for UGA’s short passing game, yielding 3rd down conversion after 3rd down conversion.
The tigers coaching staff will wait until conference play before shaking things up, but look for changes on the o-line and perhaps at the QB position if this season continues to be a disappointment.

Losing Ford and Spiller definitely makes a huge difference. I know you will have Clemson amongst the elite soon though
