My PS3 keeps freezing

I think it may be dying, I will keep you posted and may get a new one but last night it froze on me playing nba 2k, tonight after the playoff games it froze again playing nba 2k and then has had trouble reading games, then it froze in my other OD while recruiting, then while playing the game vs cpu.

Now it shuts off on its own shortly after i turn it on

this could be numerous things. memory taken up? area the ps3 is in?(open or closed area), age like you said. mines the fatass 80gb. ive wanted a slim for sometime but im not getting one till mine dies for good.

Crap that's not good. Just keep me updated and hopefully it all works out.

That's what my first thought was when he said that. It happened to me a while back.

no yellow light to my knowledge but but when i turn it on it turns itself off quick, prob less then a minute then i try to turn it back on and it turns itself off instantly I posted at operation sports and they said to back up my saves as soon as I can but I dont know if I can even get to them. Either way I should have more knowledge tomorrow on a fix or on getting a new ones

I bought a new one today, hopefully old one can stay on enough so i can transfer some of my saves im in year 7 of my akron offline dynasty

Nice. I figured you had worked something out since you had played. Hopefully you can get that dynasty transferred over. 7 years at Akron is a long time.
