Carolina Jumps Out to Big Lead, Lattimore Takes Over
Syracuse, NY-- The Gamecocks hit the road for the first time this season and were looking to get out to a 2-0 start on the season. USC started the game with a bang as Garcia hit Gurley on an out route, then Gurley proceeded to make one guy miss and just like that Carolina was up 7-0. After two stops and two more scores USC was suddenly up 21-0, and the Orange were forced to play catchup. Carolina would end up extending its lead to 35-10 as the first half came to a close. The second half would be a lot of Carolina ball control and trying to limit mistakes. That meant let Lattimore run, and that is what he did. Marcus ran 24 times for over 200 yards and 4 TDs. South Carolina is off to a good start on the year, but has a lot of work to do in the coming weeks if they want to have a successful season.
