What figured to be a one sided game did not disappoint, as Iowas destroys Toledo.
"Toledo is not as bad as they look tonight" says Coach Kendrick, "I think you really need to give credit to our defense tonight, for the first game out they played excellent". Iowa was indeed excellent, only giving up 83 yards and -1 yard rushing. "Just played our assignments, nothing more" star DT Javon Ballard says.
"They were down so early that they really had to move away from there game plan, that let us big boys tee off and really get after the QB. Ballard wasn't kidding either, all four starters recorded a sack along with a 3rd qtr safety. "That was the best I've seen our linemen plays since I've been here" says linebacker Jason Hunter. "I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do next week at Tennesse". They will need the same effort if the Hawkeyes play to upset the 4th ranked Vols.
