Texas A&M Roughs Up the Red Raiders
College Station, Texas-The Aggies played host to the Texas Tech Red Raiders and this one wasn't much of a contest. From the start of the game you could tell these two teams were in two different categories. The Raiders had no answers all day the the extremely physical and fast Aggies defense. Again the Aggies run defense came to play only allowing two yards rushing for the second time this season, taking the yearly total to 67 yards given up on the ground for the year. Russell and Tannehill went back to work today each piling up over 100 yards rushing and Tannehill threw for over 200 yards as the Aggies gained over 500 yards as a team. The Aggies gave up points in the second half for the first time in a few weeks, but still have only given up 20 second half points. The defense had it's best day defending the pass as they only gave up 250 yards to a potent Raider passing attack. The defense that can't make a nickname stick is still playing extremely well and should have a solid nickname in no time. Next week the Aggies will hit the road for their second conference game and hope to pick up some commitments in recruiting.
