Ryan to Stay at Rutgers

In a Press Conference today in Brunswick, Coach Tim Ryan announced he is staying at Rutgers for the remainder of his contract. He has 2 years left on his 3 year deal and he spoke about the future of Rutgers Football. Pernetti and Ryan met earlier today and the two agreed on no contract extension as of yet, but talks are in the works for after the 2012 season. Rutgers Nation is elated to hear this news. The campus is in an uproar and a pep rally is scheduled for later tonight with a Bon Fire to boot. Ryan has had a successful recruiting year and looks to build on that over this offseason. Ryan said as he left the podium, "We have one goal this year, some unfinished buisness from last year, and that is to win the Big East!!!" We shall see if Rutgers can pull off that feat. Until then, Rutgers fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the dodged a bullet and kept their guy around for at least 2 more years.

That is exactly what was the determining factor for me. Plus I really love Savage and want to see what I can do with him next year. It would have been a different season if I had him for more then 4 plays. I may not have beaten Wisconsin or WVU, they were better teams overall but I would not have lost to UCONN and that would have given me the Big East title and a BCS bowl bid. So I have some unfinished buisness to attend to this year.

I think with the guys you have coming back you could be the preseason favorite to win the Big East. And if the chips fall right maybe even run the table, but that's a long way off still

Another reason was after I saw Elixor's work schedule yesterday 9pm to 5am, no way we would ever be able to play. I play late nights so we would be simmed every year. Note don't schedule Cal vs Rutgers.

The NC will most likely be played between 730-930 pm cst time tonight. You can submit your Coach of the Year now as long as the NC and Rose Bowl results don't change your vote, but if they do then just wait until after those games are finished.

Congrats on staying...even though we couldve worked something out as to playing our game if you had gone to Washington. I do have 2 nights off per week...

That was only one factor. The biggest was that I had already started an dhad succcess in recruiting. I want to play a season with Savage at the helm, so I will be here at least 2 more years.
