Lead by star QB James Tiller, the Cyclones took the opening possession and moved the ball effectively down the field for the first score of the game and the possiblility of a upset looked oh so likely. However, that was the last time the Cyclones would sniff the endzone the rest of the day.
Boone Pickens Stadiums 60,000 strong erupted in cheers on insuing kickoff as special teams demon, Isiah Anderson, returned the kick 96 yards for a TD. That was Andersons 2nd kickoff return for a touchdown of the year which keeps him tops in the league in kickoff return category with a 40.9 yard average on 9 returns. From there on out, OSU offense was on cruise control as the went into half time with a 28-7 lead.
The pokes were in complete control the second half as they enforced their will with the run game. Star RB Jeremy Smith finished the game with 24 carries and 132 yards and one td. The only score of the second half came on a 32 yard field goal by freshman kicker Phillip Moore.
