JJ was one of the most feared defensive players in the Big 10 as well as the rest of the NCAA. He had amazing speed of the end and had to size and strength to play in the middle in goaline situations. Though talented and well known to coaches, the media didnt give credit where credit was due. Dont let the popularity stop you from putting him in the Hall of Fame. He was a class act on and off the field, and was a leader when each and every day.

Wow, half the group voted to induct a kicker but a beast at DE can't buy a vote. Sacks are hard to get and get very few compared to kicking chances.

I'm gonna say no because he wasn't even good enough to be All-American, then he isn't good enough to be Hall of Fame. We saw how you can have record breaking numbers and it not be good enough. I am going to say not good enough for the Hall of Fame but still very good.

he didnt get AA honors due to low tackle numbers because most DEs are pass rushers so its hard to get to a past by RB

Ya I think that's the thing for me. He was just a passer rusher, but a great one at that. In real life people would say let's run at this guy because he can rush the passer but that is it. Just my two cents

well tyhats where your wrong. while he was an amzing pass rusher. he had over 40 tackles all three years so obviously he wasnt just a pass rusher. th only tackles that count towards the QB are sacks so . . . .

Well nearly half his tackles came from sacks. Like my DE last year that won the Lombardi and Bednarik had over 70 tackles, 19 of which were sacks.
