South Carolina Survives Avoiding Hangover Upset
Columbia, SC-- All week USC players had been saying the right things that they weren't too high from the comeback win last week, and they weren't overlooking Colorado and looking ahead to their next two games against Georgia Tech and Florida. But when the game started the Gamecocks looked all in a daze and out of sorts. It was an ugly defensive game that only featured two offensive touchdowns total, one for each team. Two of the three Colorado touchdowns came when Garcia fumbled, and they were picked up and returned for touchdowns. Colorado scored on the first drive but couldn't manage much after that. The Gamecocks were forced to settle for 4 Spencer Lanning field goals, but he did miss a 52 yarder late in the game that gave the Buffaloes some hope. USC survives and improves to 5-0 on the season, they have a bye next week before taking on two top ten team, Georgia Tech and rival Florida.
