NC State would jump on this and score 10 third quarter points and take a seemingly insurmountable 31-17 lead into the fourth quarter. Kimble would try his best filling in for Harris, but it wasn't the same. He was able to cut the lead to seven points early in the fourth and BC had life. Both defenses played well but the Eagles had a chance with two minutes left. A fourth down and five would be the Eagles last hope.
