BC Uses 7 Forced Turnovers to Roll Wake
Rettig has Been a Leader for BC All Season
Winston Salem, North Carolina-- Boston College was looking to get off to a fast start against underdog Wake Forest and did just that. After kicking off to start the game BC made an early statement. On the first play of the game the Wake QB dropped back to pass and found nobody open but forced a pass to the flats. LOLB Steele Divitto stepped in front of the pass and picked it off. He would run untouched to the endzone for a quick 7-0 lead and BC never looked back.
Divitto Makes a Huge Play for the BC Defense
From that point on the Eagles would completely dominate the game. They would force 6 more turnovers returning 2 more for touchdowns. The offense would get rolling along with the defense as BC would use the balance that has made it so effective all season long. Rettig would throw for over 250 yards, as he has done in every game this season, and three TDs and Williams would easily break the 100 yard mark again as he has done every game so far. Williams effort would be helped out greatly by a 99 yard touchdown run.
Williams Breaks Off a Huge Run
The Eagles defense would give up a pair of field goals to Wake but considering they scored 21 points themselves and forced 7 turnovers total they will consider this the best game under Coach Petersen. Next week Boston College will face its toughest opponent in weeks when they host #17 Virginia Tech. The Hokies have started off 4-1 on the season setting up a huge ACC matchup next week.Final: 56-6
