UCLA came into Saturday ranked number 4 in the nation, playing against the number 23rd team in the Cal bears. UCLA was playing in a hostile environment in Berkeley and knew this was not going to be an easy win. UCLA had a 7 game win streak but CAL was not intimidated at all. CAL got on the board first with a 1 yard rush midway through the 1st quarter. After a UCLA interception CAL was able to toss the ball in from 21 yards to go up 14-0. It wasnt looking good for UCLA but they stayed in it. They drove down and hesiman front runner Jonathan Franklin punched it in from 3 yards out. CAl was able to assemble a drive that score with 56 seconds left in the half. UCLA drove down into the redzone but threw a pick with 15 seconds left in the half. CAL got the ball to start the half but the Bruins dug deep and held them to 3 and out. The very next play Franklin took it 80 yards for a score and UCLA was back in the game. After another great stop by UCLA they were able to score again tying the game at 21. CAL wasnt gonna go away though, on their next drive they were able to punch it in the endzone to give them the lead. UCLA offense was firing on all cylinders and refused to quit. They scored on a 70 yard touchdown the first play of their next drive. CAL's offense took the field and a sack on the one yard line by DT Logan Marsh might have won the game for the bruins. CAL punted the ball to UCLA in good field position for the Bruins. UCLA chipped away all the way down the field and set up a game winning field goal as time expired.
