UCLA came into Saturday's game vs Arizona State a little confident. They had every right to be they were on a win streak and had been tearing through opponents. Arizona State came in 3-5 and are fighting to land a spot in a bowl game. The game started off slow with there being only one TD in the first quarter, which was a 20 yard run by Franklin. To open the second quarter UCLA kicked a FG to go up 10-0. The Devils wouldn't go away scoring on their next two drives to go up 14-10. You could hear a pen drop all of the sudden. UCLA was in shock, but they wouldn't go. On the next Bruin drive Tyler Embree caught a 30 yard TD pass. On Arizona State's first drive of the first half the marched the ball inside the ten yard line. It was looking like we were in for a great game. That was until FS Ty Dye stepped in front of a slant route on the goal line and took it 100 yards for a TD. Score was now 24-14. After that play the it seemed as if the hearts of the Sun Devils had been ripped out. They couldnt get anything going on O the rest of the game and UCLA kicked three field goals and another Embree TD that gave them a 40-14 victory. Arizona State is a talented team that was fighting for their lives. It was a great game. The Bruins travel to Sal lake City Utah next week in a battle of the top two teams in the pac-12 South.
