My defense played out of there minds.

6 ints, 7 sacks, only 8 yards rushing by Vereen.

CAL as some great skill players I had to depend on the zone blitz alot.

Vereen did have almost 100 receiving yds though. It was such a crappy game from the start...last year's freshman phenom starting his first game under center without the 2 main WR from last year's NCAA leading passing attack in the rain none the less. Honestly the zone blitz killed me, if I got the ball off it was either to no-man's land or picked. Good game by Russ, but it's only the first game of the season and we can only get better...

I'm just happy you feel behind early, I could tell there was no way I was stopping Vereen if he got going. I really thought in the 3rd you was going to come back and tie it up. Those turn-overs scared the crap out of me.

That kid's unbelievable. It looks like he doesn't even change speeds when he makes his cuts. It looks kind of like the defensive players on this game lol
