The Buckeyes came into Nippert Stadium with the #1 ranking in the nation and thinking the Bearcats would be a pushover...think again. With over 300yds rushing you'd think the Buckeyes ran away with the game, but that was almost all of their offense. The Bearcats contained Pryor and Co. and for the most part controlled the game, if not for 3 INTs, the Bearcats would be celebrating the biggest upset in school history. However, the game came down to the final play, a FG that would have sent the game into OT. With Cincinnati on the 32 with no timeouts and perfectly centered on the field, the Bearcats thought they were going to tie it up at 45, but the FG came up a yd short and the Buckeyes escaped the upset.
