Arizona's coach must have taken offense to Coach B's statement of pretty much locking up the Pac-10 title a few weeks ago because Arizona brought their "A" game. Both teams combined for over 120 points and over 1500 total yards. Arizona's offense was lead by impact player RB G.Nwoko; Nwoko broke tackles all game long on his way to 166 rushing yds, 174 KR yds, and 4 total TDs(2 rush, 1 rec, and KO return for TD). Cal was led by their Running Back Corp in DeBoskieJnsn, Ricks, and Johnston. While when most people here about a RB corp, they assume massive rushing yards; not the case in Cali. After suffering major injuries up to this point in the season, Coach B has been force to put his talented RBs in at WR and the gamble has paid off. While DeBoskieJnsn rushed for his 1st 100yd game of his career, Johnston and Ricks combined for an eye-dropping 309 receiving yds and 4 total TDs. While the offenses played well, Cal's special teams had to show up late in the 3rd qrt to spark the comeback. After going down by 11, a 89yd kickoff return sparked the Bears as the ensuing drive by the Wildcats resulted in a INT-TD for Cal to retake the lead and they would never look back.

Coach B had a few words to say when we caught up to him after the game:

Coach, what do you have to say about the excellent plays made by your RBs turned WRs?
"Well, after Satchell went down a few weeks ago, we started relying more on a short pass/screen type of offense to consistently get yards, and in doing that we were able to get Johnston more accustomed to pass catching and this week he showed it has worked out as this was the first week he has started at WR instead of just being a screen play RB."

What went through your head when Sweeney went down?
"I almost cried, after the amount of devestating injuries we've had so far this year and the amount of improvement Sweeney has shown this season to have him be out would have killed me. But luckily is only some bruised ribs that made him sit a series or two."
